I remember back to the first day I came here. I walked into the classroom and sat down in front of a computer. I was a little scared, because all I knew how to do was use Adobe Photoshop. Then, a week went by, and I started learning more and more about Adobe Photoshop. Then, a month went by, and I was actually drawing things in Adobe Illustrator. I was very pleased with myself. Then, we started using Cinema 4D and I was very nervous until I made my gummy bear. Still to this day, I am so proud of myself for that gummy bear. Now, it is almost nine-months later, I am doodling and creating masterpieces for friends and family.
So, when I look back to my first day coming here, I really didn't know anything. I learned how to do so much - and even stuff that I didn't know you could do! I am even teaching my Dad how to use some of this software.
Also, during this year I learned a lot about my personal attributes. For example, when you told us to make our resumes, I had no idea what to put for personal skills, but now I could write a novel on everything I have accomplished.
To sum everything up, this has been an awesome experience, and I am glad that I took the class. I learned many different softwares, and I learned so many new skills. Thanks for a great year!

From before the start of the semester, I have been completely dedicated n my artwork and drawing. I was intrigued by the clas because creativity was mixed with computer imaging, Multimedia has shown me how to use the skills of software programs in order to create, edit, and enhance art.
Even though I've taken art/photography lessons in the past, it was interesting to see color theory and the explanation as to how it works in the computer. I learned the details of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, along with how to use InDesign (the love child of both Photoshop and Illustrator) and PowerPoint. I especially liked PowerPoint, because I had worked with it before but never really made anything.
I realized how simple it was to work a computer, as long as you know what you're doing. I know my artistic skills have increased in the art of photo editing with much practice of drawing. My computer understanding skills have significantly increased over the semester, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time here.

I came into this multimedia class with a good sense of composition and 3D skills thanks to some previous classes I had taken at Front Range Community College. However, my skills have greatly increased throughout this year in ways I could never have imagined.
Before taking multimedia, I was not confident in Photoshop and other applications. In fact, I always became intimidated at the thought of learning such an advanced program. But since I started multimedia, I found these programs are not intimidating at all and I can now confidently go back and forth between Photoshop, Illustrator and Cinema 4D, even incorporating aspects of each into one project.
My artistic skills have increased incredibly; and because of this class, I feel like I am strides ahead of other students who will be entering theh same department of study at the universty I will be attending for the next several years. If it weren't for multimedia, I would not have gotten a 100% tuition grant for the summer (which only 5% of students who submitted a portfolio obtain), because my portfolio would have been mediocre without all the projects and experience I gained in this class.

At the start of the year, I did not know how to da anything. I was nervous and did not know anyone here. However, as time went on, as my repetoire improved, I began to talk to others and became friends with most of the people in the class. I have gotten good grades on most, if not all, of the projects that we do in this class, and I believe that my portfolio is pretty satisfactory.
Throughout the year, as we worked with more and more programs, I learned that 3D modeling was by far my favorite subject. I was ecstatic when I found out that we were going to be working with it for three weeks. Even half a year later, I still work with Cinema 4D on projects that don't have to be a 3D model. I love the array of tools I can use to create anything I want to in Cinema 4D. I create pictures that aren't even going to be graded in it. I do them for fun.
I have learned that 3D modeling is the path that I want to choose as a career. 3D modeling just comes natural to me. To show this, I have won second place in two art contests: one with a partner and one alone. This shows that I work well with a team and alone; either way, I can create a good product. There's no other way to explain my affinity for Cinema 4D, I just love it.

As a beginning Multimedia student, my only goals were to become better with Photoshop and to possiblely get into 3D animation. I never expected to be learning other programs and competencies - and to be business-like and professional. I have learned skills that will be valuable throughout my life.
Before Multimedia, I never really had experience with a PC, and now I do. I have also learned Adobe Illustrator. At first, I hated the program, but now I like it and use it all the time. I've learned programming, PowerPoint, 3D animation, and even a little bit of Flash. I've learned design skills that I apply to my work everyday - skills like the rule-of-thirds, color, repetition, alignment, and formatting. Personally, I still need to work on keeping deadlines, but I think I'm getting better.
I have met my goal to be better with PhotoShop, and then some. I've become competent with multiple programs, and learned these skills, and worked through problems.

I have learned many things since I have joined the multimedia class. I have learned not only about multimedia but also about myself and my attributes. Multimedia has taught me many programs and how to use them to my advantage when making projects. I have also learned that I am not as bad as an artist as I thought I was.
When I first started MM, we learned Adobe Photoshop. We learned many things from this program, such as how to add a lens flare and use a crop tool. We then moved to my favorite program, Adobe Illustrator, which is very similar to Photoshop. We used Cinema 4D for our 3D movie projects - which was fun. We also briefly touched on Adobe InDesign, Dreamweaver, and a programming program.
While learning many things about multimedia, I also learned many things about myself. I learned that you don't need to be a great artist to make nice works of art and project. I also learned that I like to draw, even though I do not do it as much as I want to. I also learned how to interview for jobs, which is probably the reason I have the job that I have right now. I learned how to shape myself into the person employers will want to see, when interviewing me for a job. Even though I am leaving multimedia to see what else there is, it is clear that I will be taking a lot more than just knowledge of artistic programs with me.

In a year of being a student at Boulder TEC and attending Multimedia clas, I feel I have developed a sufficient competency in this field of study. I've learned how to use a variety of computer software, I have a knowledge of how to use different hardware; printers, computers, digital cameras, scanners, etc. In my time at Boulder TEC, I have also acquired skills I will need to succeed in the future, skills such as organization, how to plan a successful interview, competitiveness, and flexibility in regards to design specifications and deadlines.
In Multimedia, students are taught a variety of different softwares. The ones which I feel I have achieved a definite competence in are Maxon Cinema 4D, Adobe Photoshop CS, and Adobe Illustrator CS. Nearly every day in class I managed to work with at least one of these programs. Ive gained sufficient knowledge of how these programs work that in the future, I can plan an education utilizing these tools, working toward goal achievement in the graphic arts field of careers. My imagination has blossomed, and I doubt I could run out of ideas as to new things I could design, given the chance.
Also, in Multimedia I was given the opportunity to take tours of a public television station, to view video and sound recording equipment, to utilize printing equipment, and to use these tools in some of my projects this year. These are skills that give me a unique background, knowing how to design art to fit a specific medium in which it will be presented. I've gained the ability to work successfully in groups on projects, to take leadership when it was required, but at the same time have the ability to listen and to follow other's directions. In regards to the amount of competence I feel I've brought to the Multimedia classroom environment, I feel my proficiencies show that I was able to learn much by following others examples, as well as by taking my own initiative to learn as much as possible in the time I was given.
